Job Description

A General Liability Defense Attorney represents insurance companies in civil lawsuits, primarily focusing on defending against claims related to personal injury, property damage, and other general liability issues, by conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, negotiating settlements, and appearing in court to minimize the insurance company's financial exposure in these cases.

General Liability Defense Attorney 

Pay Rate: $120 000-150 000

• 2-4 Years of experience
• Demonstrate an ability to analyze issues, communicate regularly with claims professionals, document communication and assist in resolving cases efficiently
• Experience in preparing pleadings, conducting depositions, and motion practice
• Trial experience a plus

Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited law school
• Be in good standing as an active member of the New York Bar
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Compensation: The annualized salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
