Job Description
A corporate tax accountant handles a business' tax returns and tax strategy. These professionals make sure documents are accurate and that all tax laws have been followed. They work to prevent audits and errors and also will make suggestions for companies to improve their financial management.
Corporate Tax Senior
Pay Rate: $100 000-120 000

Simply put, our team at HH Tax has over 30 combined years of experience in placing tax executives at every level in every industry and every market. In addition to our home turf which is the greater New York Metro area including NJ, PA, and CT, we effectively service clients everywhere in the USA through our AAFA network (45 financial staffing affiliates throughout the U.S. and Canada).
One of our global clients in the New York Metro area is looking to add a Tax Senior to their tax team. This person will be an integral part of the tax compliance and tax accounting process and become a key member within the Finance department.
LOCAL CANDIDATES TO THE NY METRO AREA ONLY
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions, including supporting workpapers
- Assist with the preparation of corporate tax returns
- Assist with coordination of tax payments for estimated taxes, extension payments, tax return payments, etc.
- Prepare taxable income projections
- Collaborate with members of global tax team and greater finance organization to ensure completeness of tax analyses
- Assist with income tax audits at the Federal and State level
- Take part in tax planning projects
- Special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in accounting or a related discipline
- CPA/MST preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with tax accounting and corporate tax compliance, preferably Big 4 or public accounting
- Familiarity with technology and automation with a willingness to improve processes
- Good communication skills
- Strong skills in the Microsoft Office and/or the Google suite including the ability to prepare robust Excel models and the ability to learn new software platforms
- An attitude that champions collaboration, but also the ability to get the job done on your own when necessary
- Desire to perform with the best and drive constant improvement
