Staff Attorney
Practice Area: Maritime Law, Litigation
Location: New York, NY 10019
Schedule: Onsite; Full-Time
Pay Rate: 160 000-190 000
The Client:
A prominent international law firm. A nationally recognized law firm with a well-established maritime litigation group is seeking to expand its New York office. The firm offers a collegial environment and provides meaningful professional development opportunities within a high-performing legal team. This position has opened due to growing client demand within the maritime sector and the expansion of their litigation docket.
This Staff Attorney will support the firm’s thriving Maritime Litigation Practice, handling matters that include marine casualties, cargo disputes, maritime contracts, and regulatory compliance. The attorney will be expected to conduct legal research, draft pleadings, manage case documents, and assist with client advisories. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level attorney seeking a long-term role focused on complex litigation in a niche, intellectually rigorous area of law. While not on a partnership track, the position allows for deep specialization and integration into high-level maritime matters at an elite firm.
